Surprising? Not really.

School Districts to investigate possible FCAT cheating.

With the increased emphasis on high stakes testing including basing pay and career decisions, can anyone really be surprised?

  1. There's an industry for tests, now there's an industry to catch cheaters. Looking at the security policies in our local schools, and assuming they are the same in other Florida districts, I don't know how individual teachers would be able to cheat. Administrators are the only group who have the test answer booklets for any length of time.
